Jamie Lidell

Just bought 'Multiply' the fantastic and brilliant new album from Jamie Lidell

I've always wondered when Jamie was going to really deliver his true stunning solo potential project and I think this is a fantastic album showcasing one of the few talents that combine intense and brilliant programming, vocals and showmanship / live performance. I have always thought that Jamie is a real gem - a true artist and innovator and wish him all the very best. I'm also very interested in getting hold of Vogel's new album - unfortunately when I visited HMV in London yesterday they said it wasn't out yet.

Catching up...

It's been a while since i've posted here. After shooting over to Berlin at the beginning of April to play one of the closing parties at TRESOR I then had a manic few last weeks in the UK before moving with my partner over to Melbourne, Australia.

It's an incredible place and totally feels like home. Arriving at around 6am on the 18th we were greeted by a beautiful sunrise and as we drove out to my mother-in-law's house I felt inspired to be on new home ground. Looking back on things I think Brighton was great for a few years but seems to have slipped into a country town that is trying and failing miserably to exert itself as a city by the sea.

After a few weeks in Melbourne I played a local underground gig for the MTC (Melbourne Techno Collective) and it was fun to try out some new tracks in my set and also see some familiar faces from my past three times in the city.
